FOAM LIFE JACKET– IMPA 330148
WORK VESTS – IMPA 331171
Packing Details
To achieve the required buoyancy or floatation for persons falling overboard, material with density less than water is chosen to manufacturer rigid life jackets. Some common materials are closed cell foams of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polyethylene (PE). A minimum buoyancy required to keep a person’s face above water is 100N. The inherently buoyant life jacket will not loose its airtightness and does not require any specific maintenance or refilling of CO2 cartridges and hence cheaper to buy and maintain compared to inflatable lifejacket.
